Well here is something you don’t see everyday. A blank vinyl record with all 4 Beatles signatures etched into the vinyl. Supposedly signed in 1964 while at BBC recording session.  Originally sold at Sothebys in London.  The signatures appear almost too good to be scratched into vinyl George’s signature is in the 9 o’clock position and is better seen in the Sothebys catalogue of the day. Any other thoughts?

When was the auction, later 1970s?

Actually quite a bit later. The Sothebys auction was on the 25th of April, 1990, lot 187.

That was prime Joe Long time, and Sotheby's sold a ton of his forgeries. I'm convinced! Not real.

That is an interesting thought.  You may be correct.  The signatures look like they were slowly and carefully scribed.  I can’t imagine the group signing this blank vinyl with such precision.
