Beatles Autographs

What do you guys think of this set?

I'm in two minds...some things look ok, but then something tells me otherwise.

What are your opinions?

Are you referring to this one, spaceman? The paper stock looks similar to the one that went cheap, including the odd looking toning and brown spots. I suspect that these and the other ones could also possibly be printed signatures.

Yes. I got the guy to email me all of his mums Beatles autographs. I told him they were fake and he never got back to me. But he did sell a couple of sets on ebay.

I did once have somebody try to sell me a signed copy of the 'Imagine' single. Based upon the autograph looking good in the picture provided I travelled to inspect the item myself before buying for cash. The signed cover (UK single which would be a rarity if signed as it wasn't released as a single here until years after JL moved to the US) was in a frame so I told the vendor that I would have to ask him to remove it from the frame for inspection first. I suspected that the signature was copied but the seller isnsisted it was just a fountain pen signature, the faint printer spray marks around the autograph convinced me otherwise and I didn't buy.

I suppose the lesson is that even 'genuine' signatures can be fake and to make sure you inspect the actual item yourself.

Ihad to go to work (different time zone). Good detective work all round. You would think ebay would be onto it by now. I bet there are a lot of conned people out there.

Interesting thread, and nice detective work.

Shame this sort of thing happens. Makes it even harder!

Here is the whole program, same type of scan to. Notice signatures are in slightly different places...so no chance this guy just had the programme cleaned.
