There is a gap but this may just be because the spine of the book has rolled significantly. The Beatles page does seem to have been properly sewn into the album.

Looks to me like the binding is loose, rather than the pages being take from a separate book? But i could be wrong.

The market has spoken....

Quite a high price for a non-specialist auction house, especially when you add the 30%+ charges.

The set was very saleable but also rather boring. No backstory or dedications and somehow characterless. 

Each to his or her own....
