These are some of the best forgeries I have seen. Looking at them en masse you can see certain traits like the small neat lower case letters of George Harrison. With modern techniques of transferral/printing and these high end written forgeries it's risky going for something any more without Tracks, Frank or Perry etc paperwork.
Agreed. I am extremely leery of any high end set without a Tracks/Cox/Caiazzo letter. People still buy them and I’m sure they look great framed on their wall and as a conversation piece, but as an investment, you are playing with fire and hoping to fool the next party when it comes to selling down the road. For me, I couldn’t own one just knowing that there’s a high probability that they aren’t authentic. Takes the joy of ownership right out of it. I think that’s why pieces like the one on Iconic keep popping up. The no-brainer LPs stay in collections for several years which is why they are so rare and valuable. If you see an item routinely coming to auction and not breaking the bank, there’s a reason for that.
I'm blown away. I truly believe they're some of the best counterfeit goods I've ever seen. Years ago, I decided to buy exclusively from Tracks and some lower-end items from other sites. But to protect my investment, in my opinion, nothing beats Tracks.
do we know who is forging them and from what country?
A while ago, I read in this same group that there was a counterfeiter from the UK, but I don't know if it's the same person.
