Did anyone here manage to win this great letter:

I had my eye on it, but am lacking in cash at the moment. Seemed to be a reasonable price to.

A nice item it seems.

haha...that would have been an interesting letter!

very rare item. considering the price people are asking for scribbles on an album cover, this was not a bad price at all.

Nice one...nice price too.

I know you'll all think I'm crazy but I don't like the look of it and think it's no good, this seller had another Paul item a few months ago and I felt the same about that one too.

Hey Beatle...What bothers you about this letter?...Thanks...Jim

Everything Jim, it just doesn't look right,  one tiny thing..."checks" are not used this side....it's a nice letter but it wasn't written by Paul.....only my opinion though !

The spelling of checks (cheques) wouldn't bother me. Spelling mistakes are quite common.

Here's another letter to Mal with very similar content. Notice that both reference Tony from NEMS and conclude with "See you soon / ta ta." The letter below includes the following wording:

"We didn't know anything about it till the other day and then nobody seemed to know exactly what had happened or how..."

"...it's good for you..."

while the letter in question includes the following wording:

"We didn't know anything about it till the other day and then nobody seemed to know exactly had happened or how..."  (the word "what" is missing)

"...it's so good for you..."

Thats very interesting. This letter also states 'leave the missus alone'. In this context it makes sense, after an accident. In the first letter it doesn't make sense.
Looks like the first letter is a mix of copied sentences taken from the second letter.

The second letter actually reads "leave the nurses alone." The letter in question appears to read "leave the messes alone."

So it does Mark.

Either way it seems they used the second genuine letter to make the fake first one.

Its a very good fake...pretty scarey infact.

I totally agree.
