I purchased a few signed items from the seller before that passed both Beckett and Epperson but after a quick opinion from Beckett this item failed . but Roger Epperson deemed it looks OK so I’m really torn here, another member help sway me away from the signed item so I’m probably gonna pass on it unless some of you all can sway me back lol, I hear Epperson is one of the best at Beatles items and steve grad over at Beckett is one of the most famous authenticators In the business so I hope you can see my dilemma lol

This is all based on Quick Opinions?
Yes Epperson said looks ok
Beckett said unlikely to pass full authentication, the ones I purchased before from him passed QO and full examinations as well, this one is getting mixed reviews from two different experts
Quick opinions are only that - quick opinions based on 2-D scans, not examinations. What the seller may have sold previously that passed this or that TPG is totally irrelevant. I am curious why you do not seek to eliminate your authenticity concerns before you purchased the item?
I think people make much too much out of Quick Opinions in general. I am of the opinion that a QO is given to rule out really off forgeries and the well known preprints/secretarials. I believe the consumer is responsible for live ink and a host of other things that can be hard or impossible to tell from a simple scan. This is why QO are not enough to sell here in the BST. I do not use TPG's but I'd not buy on the strength of a QO alone.
So no one involved has seen it in hand including you?
I figured if it passes two or more QO then I’m probably in better shape then not passing any
I would not operate that way - they are just opinions, likely rendered in minutes or less. You realize things can pass QO and fail full exam. PSA has its Facts pages - in the instance of Jackie Gleason 50% of what they show there as authentic exemplars are just secretarials or forgeries - so I'd not place so much value in such a Quick Opinion if they can't get the exemplars correct. This is just one reason I chose to do the fun part and get involved with authentication long ago. If I can't see it myself, I don't buy it.
Understood thanks for the reply, is it a bad idea in your opinion to post pics on this site for opinions?
It is a very good idea! There are many wonderful sets of eyes with much experience here - I'd trust several of them over any TPG with certain celebs.
I know a buyer has to do his homework on anything he or she purchases but I’m much more confident when a few experts green lights the item before I buy it, does this make any sense?
Of course, as long as the green light is not given from a scan on a screen in 2 minutes IMO.
