I ASKED FOR AN OPINION FROM ROGER EPPERSON AND WAS TOLD THEY ARE NOT AUTHENTIC. THE SELLER INSISTS AND WILL NOT LET IT GO.  I AM JUST ASKING FOR SOME HELP WITH THESE. THEY WOULD BE MY FIRST ADDITIONS. THANKS IN ADVANCE

I HAVE HEARD THAT ROGER IS THE BEST AND I KNOW RR AUCTION IS A REPUTABLE PLACE, I AM ONLY LOOKING FOR SOME OTHER OPINIONS AND DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO.

Hi Ray,

I cant speak on the beatles autographs. But i believe i can guess where you heard bad things about Roger. Let me guess...........Autograph News Live........Autograph Alert..........Ripoff report. I first fell for this garabage when i started collecting and then i found this forum and i soon learned the truth. Not through people saying things, but through the actions and authentications of the parties involved.

I soon learned that Autograph News Live was set up and run by a group of about 5 or 6 people. Their posters have been caught in the act of using many different names to try and make it sound like their opinions were popular. They go after every legit authenticator on that site. You will see post after post slamming PSA, JSA, Epperson, RR auction, and many other people who have amazing reputations in the hobby. The reason for this is b/c they want these legit guys out of business so that they can continue peddling their forgeries. Their are more examples than i can count posted on this site, that show rock solid proof that what you read on that site are lies. Their posters get personal, attacking sexual orientation, religious preferences, etc. B/c thats all they can do.

Then you have Autograph Alert, set up by a direct enemy of Roger Epperson, according to emails published by Epperson. Its another smear site and is run by the star members of Autograph News Live. Starting to see the picture now. It really is amazing what the forging community has done to try and discredit this man, along with many dealers who sell questionable items.

The you have ripoff report. Its not common knowledge to new collectors, but anyone can create a ripoff report. You can even claim you are the manager of a company and then make up any complaint you want. You can do this as many times as you want as long as you create new accounts. This is what numerous members of Autograph news live and autograph alert have done.

One interesting story involves an individual who posted under the name of Cori Raiderman at Autograph News Live. This guy harassed and went after Epperson like crazy. He spread every rumor imaginable, did everything he could to slander the man, and threatened him on a repeat basis. Epperson got tired of it and sued him for a 6 figure amount if im correct, and won. It turns out that this Cori fellow was not intelligent enough to not realize emails would be saved as proof. He sent Roger and email telling him how him and his buddies at autograph news live and many accounts at ripoff report, and that every time Roger tried to defend himself on this site, they would publish numerous false reports on ripoff report. He also promised that one of his buddies would write stories on roger everyday telling how horrible Roger was.

Bottom line..........99.9 percent of the things you hear dogging guys like Epperson, Caizzo, Cox, etc are B.S. They are made up by crooks and liars to try and make it easier to sell forgeries. This has been proven over and over again. It really is sad. In fact, one of Autograph News Lives star members just recently made a thread on Hendrix items a few days ago to try and do just that, but yet again, was proved to be a phony. Roger does get authentications wrong, but they are very few and far between and far surpass the bar by anyone that i am aware of. I encourage you to do research and learn about who is saying what and the FACTS that can be backed up.

Ask the members of this site and you will find out real quick what the real score is. Ask around about which sites you are hearing bad things from, and who in particular is saying it. I bet you that in the end, it all filters back to roughly the same 3 or 4 people.

Members know that i take up for Roger alot. He doesnt need my help, and i dont do it for him. I do it b/c when i first got into this hobby i saw some great items i wanted at RR and from Eppersons own site. I did a google search, read the garbage at autograph news live, autograph alert, and ripoff and stayed away. Those items i wanted bad, and they slipped away b/c i was uninformed. As i got more into autographs i realized who the good guys were, and their arent many left at all. Roger is one of a select few who fights forgers at all costs to himself. I have watched time and time again how bad he is slammed by the forgery industry and yet he continues helping everyone, and alot of the time for free. And their are many many people on this forum who will call anyone out for bad authentications. And you never really hear where Roger gets called out. Every now and then their are differences of opinions, but 99.9 percent of the time, he gets it right on the money.

Just some things to think about. I would do my homework on this site and on whoever adn wherever you are hearing these things. I think you will find easily what the truth is. AFterall, if Roger was incompetent, he wouldnt be RR auctions chief music guy, JSA's chief music authenticator, once served on PSAs board, etc.

He could be very wrong on these beatles items, and you will get the most informed opinions when it comes to beatles on this board than anywhere else in the world. The beatles guys on here are amazing and can sniff out a forgery a mile away. As most know their are 3 big people who are known to authenticate beatles the best.......Perry Cox, Frank Caizzo, and Roger Epperson. They are known as the best, but i think the beatles guys on here are just as good. You will def get accurate opinions.

Sorry for going off on a tangent, but your story seemed like mine and how i was initially fooled by the garbage someone wrote on the net. I hope i can help to relate my experiences with the man and what i have learned to be true. And although im not the best on beatles, i actually think these look like forgeries.

Can you PLEASE tell us who the seller is?

Good luck

Carl

These definitely don't look authentic to me. Awesome avatar, by the way. Doors fan?

Thank you. I by no means am slamming Roger, please understand that. I have heard he is the best, that is why I asked him for the opinion. I just had my ear filled with all kinds of information about how people say Beatles sigs are not real to try to control the market.  I know the seller is trying to do just that, make a sale, but is offering to do a PSA/DNA on them and said Heritage looked at them and deemed authentic. They just didn't want to wait. I figured I'd ask for some other opinions

I know Raymond,

And i didnt mean to imply you were slamming him. I am probably too passionate on autographs, and when i see people standing up and fighting the forgeries, i support that with everything that i can.

Ballroom is great with Beatles form my experience. If you check out any Bealtes thread on this site, you will see that the same beatles guys post on almost all of them. They all are amazing at these guys. Im sure you will great feedback. And im glad you saw through the b.s.

Take care,

Carl

oh yeah Ballroom Doors fan. sorry. I collect concert posters/handbills

I'm also a huge Doors fan, and collect concert posters and handbills.

There is indeed a lot of interest in the Beatles on this site, and I'm sure there will be other opinions offered here shortly.

Thanks, Carl.

I don't like them. They look too drawn and unnatural to me.

Thank you Chad

These signatures are horrible Raymond.

Nah...not even good forgeries...
