I love that early stuff and I also have never seen one of those photos signed on the front, rare indeed.
Thanks, I love the rare stuff. I’ve got super low offers for it because the ink isn’t consistent but I keep telling them, “find another one”. It’s seriously the only one I’ve seen on the front over my 22 years. I sold the 6.5x8.5” 1962 photo last year which ended up at 18k with fees.
Yes, obviously there’s a reason they usually signed glossy pictures/album covers on the rear and in all honesty I expect that the ink was inconsistent from the day it was signed just by nature of the ink not taking on the glossy surface.
Having said that I still find it visually appealing in a very ‘vintage’ way.
