eBay seller sign_me_in is selling a fake muhamamd Ali autograph on a glove
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=251893...

It's an Olson/operation bullpen forgery that apparently has a COA from Rich Altman and Hollywood collectibles.

I contacted eBay seller sign_me_in to say it was a forgery. This is what he said "you want to make a bet on that" I said yea cause I guarantee it's fake. He said "Rich Altman's at www.hollywoodcollectibles com wants to see the Glove and coa by photo , He knows the glove and signature , if its real you must buy it for double the price i have it for ,if its not real i will send you 899 to your paypal Comeon put your money where your mouth is ,i will speak to him by email tomorrow to confirm you sent the photos"

So I did that. Rich Altman replied saying "That signature does not look like mine We have had problems with our certs being copied
Don't believe that glove came from us We use a different hologram system now thanks"

I emailed eBay seller sign_me_in the results and asked when he would send payment. I have now received replies with all sorts of name calling and swear words lol

No he is scum he has been selling fakes for years in Australia at very high prices
Good job, Carlos. Every now and then I will message a seller on eBay if I'm certain what they are selling as authentic is not so. Right now, there are a few JFK signed copies of "Profiles in Courage" that I know for sure are secretarial that are being sold as real. Now with some sellers it's possible it could be an innocent mistake because you really have to study JFK's many legit styles to know what you're doing. I think some sellers just want to believe it's real, while others know what they have is secretarial but don't care. I may have to send messages to a few to "inform" them.

Looks like someone bought it

Carlos, if gambling is legal in your state of residence and the country of residence of the seller, contact Paypal. There's a chance (albeit small) that they may view the correspondence as a binding contract and pull the money from the seller's account.
