I bought a Nolan Ryan ball that was claimed to be authenticated by this outfit. My personal example is posted. These guys don’t have professional background in authenticating autographs except a few years as collectors. They could not tell me that they had a true disciplined approach to evaluating autographs. They were quite rude over the phone while taking no responsibility. The word is they are extremely loosey  goosey updating what they claim to authenticate.

Every time Ive bought an item with a autographrefrence cert . It has been real . Do you have any photos of items that came with there cert and are not authentic ?

It's Nolan Ryan and I know it's authentic. The ball was described as being game used with a COA. Their COA mentions nothing at all. It's a sham as you can see. I have noticed in the past other listings on EBay where the cert number wasn't updated. They are a loosey goosey outfit and there COA carries zero credibility with me. I have heard of others having problems with them as well. Do you know something I don't about their methodology in the authentication process?

George, did you buy it from them or from another seller? I know that Autograph Reference authenticates signatures but I didn't know that they verified whether or not an item was "game used" or "game issued". Their database is currently down.

I bought it through an EBay seller who said they got it directly from them. I was a little perturbed to find that not only was the ball not authenticated in their system with no notes to being game used as advertised but the never returned multiple calls from the seller nor myself. What do you know about them?

I thought you wrote that you had a conversation and they were rude .
Only thing I know is I bought about 50 items all authenticated by them , and all were authentic and passed psa dna authentication as well . I havent seen any issues with them . Psa doesnt put
Stuff in the system all the time as well , they also dont respond all the time . I think all authentication companies hardly ever take responsibility in the long run for authentication.

Anthony, what's your point? What sort of relationship do you have with them to buy 50 items from them? Also if you have only the utmost faith in their authentication of the 50 items you bought from them why on earth did you have all 50 items re-authenticated by PSA/DNA. Thanks for the chuckle Anthony.

I dont even know who they are . I never bought items from them , I bought items authenticated by them . Not
Knowing who they where , but knowing the autographs looked authentic . I sent them off to psa , which I do with all my autographs I buy . You came on here to complain about them . Prove your point . Show proof they dont know what they are doing .

Once again Anthony, what's your point?

Sorry George . Your a lost cause . Good luck with your problem with them .

Anthony, why don't you google and bing them. There are others with problems with them. My post was a warning to others of my experience. You're too shallow to understand.

George it might help if you show the autograph?  Maybe?  I mean if its so far off, people could possibly be able to tell you that you just got stung.  If its on... then they just haven't done the rest of their work in their system--which imo, is kinda shoddy--- but it is what it is.

And please guys lets not get to personal name calling.

You're right Wascher and I apologize. I have no issue with the signature at all. I know it's Mr. Ryan's. My issue is that what I bought is not as advertised in the listing and the seller said that is exactly how they purchased the item from autograph reference.com. Also there has been no record of any such COA on their web site since September. My COA number is also not the only one not listed. I know I got stung and if anything good comes out of this it would be that they took their web site down to update the back log that they created. I appreciate and respect everyone's comments, but I don't feel this is worthy of waisting anybody else's time. Thank you.
