It is more likely that the inscription and the autograph were both signed by the same person. I am just not convinced that Billy Martin signed them.

There are a couple of things that concern me about this particular Billy Martin autograph. I would not want it in my collection.

The "B" concerns me. I do not like the appearance of it, nor do I like the way that it compares to the size of the "M". I am concerned about the inscription as well.

What throws me off is how the B in Billy and B in Best aren't the same.

I agree. The slant of the inscription appears to be off as well. I also believe that the "W" is too angular. I would expect it to be more curved.

I'm still thinking that the inscription was likely done separately.

Billy did sign with 2 different style B's though...One has some Style and one has a closed off 3 almost....Look at the photo i have in my album...which is more of the closed off 3 variety
