I really want to buy something U2-related for my father, who's been a crazy U2 fan since their first album, and I've found something on ebay, I would like to have a 2n / 3rd / 4th opinion about. I don't really trust ebay sellers, so let me know what you guys think.
I know it says he's a professional seller, but even those make mistakes or can make forgeries.

That one actually looks to be authentic in my opinion - fairly nice example too. I can run it by the Eastlink page this evening (group of big U2 fans who are good with band autographs) just to verify if you'd like.
That being said, that is a bit of a high price for Bono (who is actually pretty fan friendly and a good autograph signer). I also don't know much of anything about that seller.
agree with Rich on this one.. authentic! This seller has been on ebay for years and my impression has always been that he has authentic items (at least those names I`m familiar with)..
@Rich
If you really want to do that for me, that would be great. Though I'm a big U2 fan myself, I don't know anything about autographs, so some "professional opinions" are always welcome.
And you say it's a bit of a high price. What do you think is reasonable for an autograph like that?
Thanks!
Rose, no problem - I can post it on the website this evening and let you know what the feedback is.
Well, it's framed - so that probably adds to the cost. I've seen authentic Bono signed photos go for a wide range. Typically, I wouldn't really advise paying over $200 for one, unless it's something really special. I've seen some nice ones go on Ebay for under $100. However, many of the authentic ones on Ebay are either really bad examples from in-person collectors or miserably overpriced.
Just FYI: Bono and Edge are the best signers of the group. Adam's okay but a bit less accessible overall, and Larry's incredibly difficult.
Here are a few others I like, but want an professional opinion about:
1) Sometimes You Can't ...

All four signatures for that amount money? It just seems not realistic. But what do you think? :/
2) Vertigo 1

3) Vertigo 2

4) How to Dismantle...

Just tell me what you think about each one. :) Thanks!
The third one (Vertigo 2) might actually be fine, as the seller does seem to be a legitimate in-person collector. Edge looks fine but Bono is a tad bit funky looking. Still, not really my favorite example.
I agree, there are better examples. I liked the tour program one because the Vertigo tour was my first concert ever and my parents took me there, so it could have been a nice and symbolic gesture.
I think it's just really confusing they all say it was personally signed here and here. Of course they say that, but still.
BTW, have you asked your friends at the Eastlink page about the Joshua Tree one? :)
