I found this very odd signed book with what appears to be Bono signing the book Bono on Bono with Best wishes David Hewson AKA Bono. But I can’t find any examples of him ever signing as David Hewson and as far as I can tell I don’t think this looks like Bono’s handwriting. It’s a very strange thing for someone to write in the book however, so I thought I would share for opinions. Thanks for your input!

Bono’s real first name is Paul and the writing does not look like it is in his hand. There is an author named David Hewson, this may be his signature?

Agreed. His name is Paul Hewson, and for the past 45 years or so the only place you might find that signature is on contracts. And that's definitely not his handwriting.

Thanks for the replies. Must be someone who thought it would be amusing to sign like that. Who’s knows what the story behind this is.

looks more like a Paul to me?

I am not familiar with Bono's signature but Sting once signed a book for me as "Gordon Sumner, aka ´Sting`",

It can happen!

Actually on closer inspection it does look more like Paul. It seems someone did sign it as Paul Hewson AKA Bono.
