Hi, I was a big time collector about 25 years ago. Back in High School I would use Mr.Smalley's book and write all the HOFers and other baseball players I liked and sent them index cards and SASE. I received 90% back believe it or not. I would usually send 2-3 index cards. DiMaggio and all the big guys responded. Even Willie Mays. Well when I graduated High School I needed the cash so I sold everything. WHAT A FOOL I WAS. Anyway fast forward to today. I was on ebay buying an autographed photo of Ted Williams for my dad. His 70th birthday is coming up soon and he is one of his All Time favorite players. I saw this had a COA and thought it was one that Ebay recognized as a legit company GAI. Well I now know something is up because I won it for the opening bid of $25. I really don't know if the seller has any idea he is selling bogus items or if he is unloading them on people like me. He has sold a few Williams autos and 1 DiMaggio that I can tell is fake. His ID is willnotfold. If you look at his past items I bought the 5X7 for $25. It has been authenticated by a guy named Mike Baker. I don't want to get anyone in trouble just want a refund if it is bogus. Please help. Thanks, God Bless!!

You want a legit Ted Williams, get one that's authenticated by JSA and PSA. Their not always right but whenit comes to vintage pplayers like Williams, Mantle, they get it right

Thanks, I thought this company was recognized by Ebay as a legit company. I have been out of it for so long looks like I will be getting right back out of it. This is so sad that people ruin things. Lesson learned and it only cost me $25.

Yeah, you could of lost a lot more. GAI I believe went bankrupt in 2009. Anything created by Mike Baker, Justin Priddy, stay away from. GAI used to be a decent company, but unfortunately eBay hasn't recognized its demise, hint......MONEY! You can still pick up a nice Williams by JSA for under $175.00

Their is a 16x20 beautiful Williams for $174.00 BIN. PSA/DNA

Yeah, I'd personally wait it out and look for a deal. Tons of cheap Ted Williams photos out there, I'm sure you could get one for <$100.

Here's a nice piece also that sold for relatively cheap (although I wouldnt pay that much) and ready to hang:

I got a 8x10 in a Senators Uni for 50 bucks.  Got a signed envelope with a pic of him on it for 50 bucks.  If you look and be patient good deals are out there.  Patience is key.

I needed it for my dad's 70th birthday. That was the problem. I didn't have a lot of time. Thanks for all the help guys. To be honest I think I am going to leave the collecting to you guys. It isn't fun like it was when I was a kid. I don't want to say there was never anything like this going on, but it was nothing like it is today. And I don't want to take the time to educate myself all over again. Happy Collecting to all of you! God Bless!!
