Authenticity is Everything
Brandon Lee Auto Pricing
I was wondering if the experts here could give some insightinto this particular PSA & Beckett authenticated Brandon Lee card auto. I know the "it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it" saying applies here, but wondering specific thoughts on the value of this being double certified. Is it worth anywhere near this within the market right now? What price would you give it if it were yours? Thanks in advance for all opinions and time.

In my experience double certified indicates I am most likely going to be overpaying to some degree (I don't buy such things - always raw).. This is of course a very desirable name. I would still have to do the same work regarding authenticity. YMMV. It is $8K. This autograph sold in 2016 at RR for $1,038 as from the Kuflik Collection. A signed photo sold f0r $481 in 2017. I don't know where he is now. I would set about collecting auction results for index cards/signatures. What have you seen so far?

Yeah, I would presume you would pay more for it being double certified, but this seems very high. But I haven't see many genuine Brandon Lee autos in a while. Anyone know of a genuine auto they could recommend? His auto is my top grail auto. Really would like to have one. Been a fan since I was a teenager. Thanks all.

It seems rather different than the check and Kuflik examples at RR. What is being asked for it? How many exemplars have you collected?

Ive seen quite a few of his earlier autos that look similar to this style and then others in the Kuflik style. Just trying to purchase from a reputable dealer that can provide strong provenance for a genuine example.

That is a very good plan. Who has this example and how much is it? Do you have a collection of exemplars?

I actually own this example. Purchased recently, but didn't give much for it. Knew was taking a risk on it but purchased it anyway. Trying to learn and purchase a genuine example moving forward. As they say, you get what you pay for right?

From the little I saw I did not like it. The bottom of the "B" has a curve in the opposite direction from what I looked at at RR.
