Has anyone been to a recent Brian Wilson meet and greet? If so, how was it?

I think we should have a separate comprehensive thread for all things meet and greets. They've been brought up here and there, but are usually focused on one particular experience. Obviously, the range of experiences (or rumors) make for some great stories.
Not a bad idea.
I can totally understand some people shelling out big bucks to meet their heroes, I'm not knocking them. If they have the cash to do it, it's probably a no-brainer for them. I'm okay with admitting that I could have paid the $500 for the Brian Wilson meet & greet and walked away with his auto. But, for me, I've seen (and heard) too many stories of those things going south quickly, and now, pretty much every time I consider spending the cash for the experience, those things come to mind and pretty much talk me out of it, lol. All I know is that there have been many, many times that I've waited on a side walk, in a parking lot, by a stage door or outside a hotel, and met a musician, got his/her autograph and had really cool conversations with them that most likely would not be possible during a meet & greet. But again, I have the time to spend that way, many don't so their options are limited. For example, When Jardine signed for me outside the venue, he was truly happy to see I had his most recent solo CD and we had a brief discussion about it (it has an really, really long list of guest players on it like Steve Miller) and that led to a few stories of his career, which I might not have heard at the M&G. So, I guess it's up to the individual, and we shouldn't knock the choice either way..
