Authenticity is Everything
Can anyone decipher this letter/signature? I can't for the life of me!
It's mentioning Gov. Ogden of NJ, that's why I bought it (I found it at a yard sale!).. but I can not make out anything in it or who signed it! It was to John Beatty, Esq

Looks like it is "Tho:" (Thomas) Henderson. he was a judge and later congressman from New Jersey. It is a very nice document. I do not know his autograph but should be examples out there to check.

I think you're correct, and after a wiki of Thomas Henderson I've found there was a US House member from Freehold, NJ with that name.. Freehold is where this was mailed from. Thank you very much!!
