Charity Auction House http://www.auctionsportsandmore.com

Has anyone heard of this company??

I know I know.. I have read and heard all about charity auction houses.  Curious out this one as well.  A local charity is thinking about using them and the GOOD thing is they want to make sure everything is REAL!

thanks

Here 2 of the items they offer -

Masters signed jacket - I notice that it looks like it was signed all in the same hand, same pen, same pressure.

Springsteen Album - hard to see - but I am not liking it.

Maybe they can get the guy at GFA to look at it he seems to cert everything he sees from the examples I have seen on this site. I have no idea about these items but hopefully someone will give them the heads up if they are not real. The way that Springsteen signs it seems impossible to me that anyone could find real vs fake.

thanks for checking it out

I didn't get a good vibe from the site. They had a few other Springsteens listed and also said they could get a McCartney signed guitar. The photos on the site are too small to really examine.

I agree - hopefully we will get a few closer pictures of the items.  The good thing is the charity is asking my advice and really making sure everything it legit.

I'm in the same boat.  Website kind of looks like what I expected it too.  Same deal with every other one of these charity sellers - pretty framing job is all you can really get a look at, as the photos just aren't large enough or close enough to the signatures.  Usually a red flag in itself.

Yup!!

thanks Rich

The Springsteen album is a forgery -- no doubt on this one.

If anybody wants to use a charity that supposedly does this (and you haven't already read about the BS forgeries that Anthony Nurse/Anthony Barone and Charity Packages deals in)...keep this in mind. If somebody has this much access to celebrities, that they have signed stuff for a charity to sell (and not in an auction house), they should have multiple pictures, of said celebrity signing THOSE EXACT items. The celebs know they have to be photographed doing it for them to sell, and they don't mind taking those photos, for charity. No photos, don't work with the company. It's really as simple as that.
