Coach's Corner (www.myccsa.com) is one of the largest monthly auctions of sports autographs, trading cards and memorabilia. They sell non-sports items as well.
Let's talk about it!

then you are really gonna like this one from their Feb 2010 auction;
THE BEATLES band signed/framed "STAT" certified "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" LP album!
Lot Number : | 11 |
Current Bid : | $383 |
History : | 4 bids |
The Rubber Soul is only $105...which is about the cost to take a cab from Heathrow to Abbey Road studios.
They have 3 "signed" Beatles albums in this month's auction, which ends 2/25...so there's still time for these to go up to full market value if they're real—which would be roughly $100,000 or more for the "Sgt. Peppers" and "Rubber Soul"...probably somewhat less for "Hey Jude."
They have one by STAT, one by Morales...and one with no authentication:
I was stupid and spent over 300 dollars worth of items, just to have them denied by JSA and PSA both. All fakes, and it is my fault for not researching them before spending my money. a mistake I will NEVER make again!
'Nuff said.
I'd hate to waste my time since one never knows when blogs get closed and deleted!
If you don't know what you are doing stay away from CC. Plain and Simple. They have genuine mixed in with all sorts of items but a recent A/Alert, if true, throws a tailspin into Morales Certs based on JSA falling on it's own sword.
However, we have seen a Real Babe Ruth discussed in another forum on a different blog around here that was verified by PSA/DNA. Problem with PSA/DNA certs is their process for adding things - it has major holes and inconsistencies so don't rely on this with CC. I also believe there should be links to those as well as the beatle ones we have written about as well Steve.
I will post a few items latter that I have merely for the hobby not the investment as well as some items that aren't signed but genuine pieces. We can debate the genuine.... I will also post a copy of a COA if someone doesn't beat me to it.
What is interesting is how many (& the investments in the $$) on the pictured ones are being purchased. Anyone who buys the others - sight unseen, well - there u go. Are there that many uninformed collectors out there or collectors who just don't care.
And as far as getting items validated by posting here Steve - who exactly is going to do the validation.
I have yet to understand why the freaken FEDS are letting them operate. This is blatantly Fraud! Especially when the author of the COA (Frank Caiazzo) tells them that HIS COA was forged!!!!
Sort of like their redsox team signed ones from the WS years. Never saw so many..... since I have steiners and in-person team signed items, I'd love to get one (free) just to make a comparison as the pictures of them don't do them justice. Those, btw sell in the thousands, not a few hundred.
unfortunately, all that crap is going to surface under another coa at some point.
Q: Coach's Corner: What Do You Think of Them?
A: Nothing! One of the many fake sellers in the US and no one is in a position to bring such crook to criminal charge!
For example some Beatles fakes offered in 2009 and 2010. Auction nos. are known.
