some of his later signatures have this as well.

But not 2013.

I don't know what is funnier, the presentation, that "ink" or the price!

My "two bob worth's worth".- I think it IS genuine but am staggered at the price?  I would say 1992 or 1991.

However I would not buy a slab - does that mean it is for ever entombed in that plastic case? I have several Bowie's without dates. This looks like the signature he uses for some limited edition wood cuts he signed in 1992 - carefully written, but this is not attached to a print as we can see.

Confusing (price) but genuine IMO.

with those screws, I'm pretty sure it's only pressed together and can be undone.

It's the easy and cheap way to do a slab

This guy is definitely trying to make a marketing persona as a slabber

I’d want to see more pictures to consider buying. I’ve asked the seller for more but didn’t get a reply. Need to see a better closeup to really see that ink. Anyway, I think I’d be better off spending the extra $$ on a 100% genuine piece

There seems to be enough data here to make the correct assessment.

Some DB examples from that era - one with double looping

And more - 2nd one is an undated (1998) one I own with loop...

Really MarkG?! You think it is genuine? Even without a date? Did you see the other examples of the sellers items for sale that I posted? I’m skeptical because they are all so similarly presented and all look to be on the same paper. I may go ahead and buy based on your opinion. Thanks for posting the pictures

Material from this period was not often dated. Maybe  I am jaded - cheap, funny looking ink, free shipping...other odd stuff. It certainly looks like a Bowie but the ink seems odd. Could be the paper. And Bowies have been had for a fraction of that price right on eBay.
