See the 'J Morrison' centre top of the photo below, which I have pasted  above a sample of his handwriting. Anyone think the 'J Morrison' at the top looks similar to the handwriting below it?

The 'signature' is from a 1st edition hardback copy of Jim Morrison's The Lords and the New Creatures, published by Simon & Schuster in 1969/1970. I just photo'd it and pasted it above this handwriting sample for comparison purposes.

if you don't think it real, i will buy it!

....so what do you reckon, Bill? :)

Awesome Reply!!! Perfect Bill....

How did you acquire it?….

I bought it over the internet from Vagabond Books, Ca, US. I'm in the UK

I know certificates of authenticity mean very little, but I did get one, and a letter - see photos....

i would have roger epperson check it.  that simple.  then you would know.

i would not want to take advantage of anyone.  if it is real you need to know.  good luck,,,,myself???  i would keep it and think that it is indeed morrison.  the only time you would want to authenticate it is if you wanted to sell it

I don't want to sell it, I was just interested in other peoples opinion. I really don't know what to make of it, it's a bit of a teaser.

The book by the way, is in perfect condition, including the dust jacket that has a protective plastic sleeve on it. .

Excuse my ignorance, but who is Roger Epperson?
I'm sorry, this is not a Jim Morrison's signature.

+1

I know it's not Jim Morrison's signature. That wasn't the question I asked :-)
Ok, this is not Jim Morrison's handwriting!
