Hi Lynn,

I've been saw your post and I've realized that nobody did comment. If anyone leave their reasons it could be a "help" for eventual forgers. Whatever, I would say it is not real because an important reason. I mean, the whole item looks real, but there're some details about the Thanks that I don't like. For example (among others), the itself and its link with the H. As far as I know, Croce didn't usually write in that way.

So, IMHO I believe it is not real. I would be careful --or better, I'll avoid it.

Just my opinion.

All the best.

Thanks very much for that reply.  I’ll admit it looks a little too perfect.  Of course there is a good story behind it.  I think my biggest concern is the hook at the top of the J.  It’s also a larger scale than I’ve seen in the past.  Almost a full 5x7.  Thanks again.

Here’s an example from RR Auction for comparison.

That’s a big help.   Thank you

The things that stick out to me are the KS portion appearing slowly drawn, the shape of the J, the connection to and shape of the M, and the shape of the O. I’d be surprised if it’s real.

Great feedback.  Thanks very much.

For anyone that previously followed this, I did go forward with a review for authentication.

The Result:  autograph did NOT pass authentication.

I have a really nice facsimile of a Jim Croce autograph though......................

Wasn’t this on eBay? Why not return it for a refund?
