Purchased a signed book by Wayne Gretzky from Barnes and Noble a few years ago, which turned out to be auto-penned.
First, I got an email from the publisher saying, "It's come to our attention that Gretzky's signature is auto-pen. We apologize; we did not intend to deceive."
This was soon followed by an email from Barnes and Noble: "We've refunded your credit card in full. Keep the book."
