Dave Prowse (Star Wars) landing in the U.S. this year. Need his autograph?
Hello all,
Just wanted to give you a head's up. Dave Prowse aka Darth Vader, will be attending Fanboy Expo Tampa in July. I have been told that he will be charging $60.00 per autograph. If anyone needs help, let me know. I'll be charging $10.00 per item sent in or purchased at the event.
I have also been told that he will not be providing any photos at his table, but Fanboy will be obtaining some official pix photos for the Dark Lord of the Sith to sign.
There it is, and it is what it is. I'll be getting 2 myself because honestly, I don't know if he will be coming to the states anymore after this.

$60????? I got him for $40 a few weeks ago over in Europe, not long before that he was $30. Daves getting a bit greedy in his old age.

I was going to get him in Rhode Island last year but he canceled. I shocked he's doing cons again because last I heard he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Sadly he was not invited to Star Wars Celebration which I think is disgraceful. You can also order personalized photos from his website (http://shop.darthvader-starwars.com)

As long as there are people willing to pay it and as long as Ebay exists celebrities will charge whatever they want. Norm Reedus is doing a con here in a month and is charging 80.00 an autograph and 110.00 to take a picture with which I think is a little high considering he did a con here three years ago and was charging 40.00. Fanboy is the most fan friendly con in Florida with most celebrities charging 20-40 on average. Everyone wants to blame the con promoters but the celebrities set the prices so any gripes should be directed at them.
