That is not a recognized secretarial style (those only appear "rarely" and much earlier - generally 1973-76 and some 1980. Those would be by Ken Pitt, Cherry Vanilla and some by Corrine Schwab - this information only came to light in March/April of this year, recently confirmed by Bowie's camp. Bowie preferred to sign himself when possible - where did you hear this might be a secretarial style from such a late date? I don't like it though - too smooth and bubbly for me. However, '89 is more MarkG's territory.

Thanks Eric. I totally agree it doesn't look right. Bubbly is a good word. Numerals are off too. It's the inscription that made me think maybe secretarial. Looks familiar. Not Bowie's handwriting though.

Legible inscriptions and so on often indicate secretarials but I am unaware of any from that period or after - just the ones I mentioned. After C. 1980 it is either forgery or genuine. This inscription does look familiar to me though...this hand...

I do not like it for some reason. Especially writting in best wishes. Its so smooth and more like womans writting...

Best wishes looks to "round" to me. He writes much more in a sharpe style
