Hi, this is a Bowie Graph I want to show .  I'm thinking it's legit but can't be sure.

NOT for me! Is that by a right handed signer - that "b" in "best"? Overpriced at any rate. Jeff Gold was/is still selling ISOLAR cards recently (better than a later loose cut on index/lined paper for sure...for $349 WITH Epperson and RecordMecca papers!). OR can buy one from PPC for $1200...When I could, I supplied more than one person here with an ISOLAR card for under 200 for as long as I could so folks could get a genuine without "going broke".

Correction - I think the last batch of RecordMacca ISOLOR cards (they have sold 75+) were $375, not $349. And $1200 at PPC!

In my opinion it looks legit.

For me, the signing angle/placement, the spacing in "with", apparently right handed "b" in "best" and also numeral 9's. That far reaching arching "B" is unusual in shape and scale, the vertical way over to the right...the two "apostrophes"  - one is HUGE and atypical, neither seems placed quite right. Those numerals  - very smooth and curvy - ending bit suggest right or left hand?  the trail of strokes seem unnatural. The paraph - one might expect the reverse stroke heading back to the graph at the very last instead of a ink deposit showing slowing down. What do you see?

I looked at all my exemplars (about 290) and that "b" in "best" seems to be drawn "backwards" - by a right handed person. Other opinions?

Any other opinions?

Out of those 290 exemplars are there any "with best wishes" signed a little closer to 1999?

Doesn't the 1983 Bowie have a quite far reaching "B" in Bowie too? And a pretty big apostrophe as well?

Agreed on the numerals, they look unusual. The autograph itself doesn't look that suspicious to me. Could some of the strangeness in scale and spacing be due to the tiny size of the item?

Personally I never got any kind of an apostrophe from Bowie at all. In 1996 he wrote 96, and in 2004 the full year.

Hello J. Mikael, yes, of course, dozens and dozens. The 1999 period looks even less like this. This is too legible for one, and not as pointed as I'd expect. Re the "b" - I am speaking about the small "b" in best wishes - it is formed "backwards". Follow this posted example and then look at what I linked. With the large "B" I was speaking to the left side - the up and over that that curve without the snub nosed effect seen when the B curls under itself. The numerals - I have nothing like those. Taken together, I would never buy or sell this. MarkG might have more to say.

OUCH !!!

I could only look for a split second as it hurt my eyes

That "B" is buggered

Me no likey
