I met him back in the 90s and then he was real cool about signing. Both his solo albums and also Talking Heads albums. I don't know how he is today. Good Luck!

I met him in 2009 after the concert in Frankfurt. He was very kind and signed patiently everything for everybody around including Talking Heads stuff. I got his setlist autographed as well as a Stop Making Sense DVD.

Got him! He signed it all, does Talking Heads. Very reluctant to sign my guitar though. But he did it =D

Congratulations!

There is a lot of musicians that refuse to sign guitars or other instruments. So I'm happy for you!

I will see him tomorrow !

I've gotten him a few times. Always super nice, although he did say "You don't have any of my solo stuff."

His signature is also very messy, but hey -- he's a legend! Good luck.

Oh, and one time when I got him, he showed up at the venue riding a bicycle. The sound guy told me he brings a bike on the road and likes to ride during the afternoon (it has a  lot of frilly ribbons and stuff on it, which is odd). He told me when he rolled up "I'll sign for you, but let me go inside." He went, put his bike inside, came out 2 minutes later, THANKED ME for being patient, and had his own sharpie. I only had two items, as I never like to push it and turn them off.

Same thing! He came in on a bike, saw us and said he'd be back. The way he said it and from what I heard, I knew he'd be back. He soundchecked and then came back. He signed everything for the few of our group that was there. Signatures are sloppy, but I actually prefer the really sloppy free flowing ones. When I pulled out my guitar he said 'I'm not gonna do the guitar though.' We really had to convince him to do that but it worked out. Overall, very nice guy. Highly recommended, definitely a legend and a great quality sig to add to any collection. His show this year is AMAZING!!! Theatrical, innovative, there's practically half a marching band, and St. Vincent is also super sweet and a good signer, too.

Beautiful day out. He's still on his bike.

These were taken in Portland on 6/21. He came in on his bike roughly at 3-4ish. Soundcheck done by 5.
