I should have researched before acquiring these... just wondering how bad I got scammed

Are you talking about the company Denver Autographs? They have a fantastic reputation for sports autographs as far as I understand. Granted, I haven't followed them for years.

No the denver bronco autographs on the ball.  Unfortunately I think I the the company who authenticated is being investigated for scamming $250,000 from selling bogus autographs.
