Hello!  Huge Jeter fan! New to the site!  Is this Steiner cert card for this ball real?  There is no hologram or serial number.  I did hear that certs were sometimes made on the spot at collector shows?  I'm pretty confident this is Derek's signature.  The cert card is pretty small and you can see fibers in the card stock.  Also, in the pics it kinda looks like the ball has scrapes on it.  Some reason the lighting made it look like that.  The ball is in really good shape.  Thank you for all of your help!  I do appreciate it!

I have never seen that style Steiner cert before and unfortunately, Derek did not sign that.

Wow!  Well, looks like I was ripped off!  I paid 100 for it. I thought that auto looked pretty close!  Well thanks for the input.  Played the lottery and lost.

I’m sorry you were ripped off. If you look at the signature you can see it is slowly written. No flow.

How long ago did you purchase the ball? Also if you paid via paypal you can get a refund.

Steiner certs and holograms are garbage there being forged like the cert you have thats really bad  sorry

Yeah, I am very new to collecting signed balls.  It is very disappointing.  I would never even attempt to sell an auto that I was suspicious of being valid.  I don't know how people sleep at night

this hobby is infiltrated with scumbag sellers that think nothing of screwing people every day.  The best way to protect yourself is to study the signatures that you want to collect.  And 100 bucks for a Jeter ball is not going to happen.  That should be a red flag.

The signature is fake and so is the COA.
