Did Stan Lee butcher my poster or is it salvageable?

Went to fan expo Canada today to get a Stan Lee autograph at his final
Canadian appearance. Unfortunately that didn't go so well. Mr.Lee attempted to sign it, using silver
Sharpie on the left side of the poster and the marker was low on ink and I got
One of the worse autographs he could
Have done. He started signing it a second time and had the same problem, but at least he stopped really quickly and then tried a again with a third marker. The handler said It might be able to come off. Is there any hope or is it a lost cause. Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

If it has a glossy or luster finish you can get it off pretty easily like Pete said.

If not, you can have a restoration place like Studio C take it off. Will probably run $150-200.

Thanks for all the advice. It's not a very glossy poster, so I think I'll have to leave it on. I'm sure I'll only cause damage to it trying to remove it.

Is it just me, but...I HAVE NEVER HAD GOOD LUCK WITH SILVER PAINT PENS OR SHARPIES!!!

I hate them.

That being said, leave it. It's a fun story to tell, and believe it or not, it adds authenticity to the piece (what forger would do that? see my point?)

If it makes you feel better, my friends favorite group is Led Zeppelin. When he met their bassist, John Paul Jones, he had this great item for him to sign. He handed him a silver paint pen, that promptly exploded it his hand like one of those new iPhone. JPJ merely handed the piece back to him (with a sloppy silver mess on his item), and angrily said something about that paint being toxic, as he walked away angry.
