And specifically, do signed copies of the Howlin Wolf London Sessions LP exist?

Hi - sorry to be nearly 2 years' late, but I have to disagree about Howlin Wolf not being able to sign. Have a Sunnyland Slim album signed by 8 blues greats when I was young fan in England. It was sometime between 1963 and 1965. Seven of them used my pen to sign and the other used a biro. Howlin Wolf was one of the seven!
I believe this album was sold through Heritage Auctions a few years back.
No, not unless they have Wolfs "sign". He could not write his signature!
I have many examples of this from shows I did with him.
I inherited a signed 1954 one dollar bill my dad had Howlin' sign when he met him in 1970. They'd spoken at length after a show in Toronto. The signature looks exactly like all the other examples here and online. Because it is my dad, I have no question regarding its authenticity but for anyone who says he could not sign his signature, I found this regarding Wolf's literacy, from his WIKI page, "Although functionally illiterate into his 40s, Burnett eventually returned to school, first to earn a General Educational Development (GED) diploma, and later to study accounting and other business courses aimed to help his business career."
So that should settle that. Not that I will ever part with it, but where might I go about getting it properly authenticated and valued? Thank you in advance for your input!
I would suggest checking with Roger Epperson @ http://www.rogerepperson.com/. Roger offers a quick opinion for a nominal fee and can do a more formal assessment as well. He certifies for RR Auctions and many other resources. He is a member on this forum and his credentials are significant if you research his name. He did a quick opinion for me on a Howlin' Wolf cut (actually full band from the early 1970s) that I recently acquired. I highly recommend him in this regard.
Yes, but Wolf did not sign his name. Instead he had a stylized letter only he did. I have many of these as I promoted him over 30 yrs. You can bank on signatures being fake.
