I posted that in the meet & greet thread - she's charging the same thing for her show in Chicago. Hardly a great deal.

forgot about the m&g thread

Ha, it's fine. I think most people did.

Well, I guess she's a legend, so if you're a huge fan, and you have the cash . . .

Mercy! $2,000 to meet Dolly? Shows her genuine appreciation to her fans.

I get her appeal but I wouldn't go out of my way to see her for even a fraction of that cost.   That's just me.  Don't get me wrong, I believe she should get what the market will bear but to present the image of this sort of folksy, salt of the earth,  girl next door and to price a M&G like that was disappointing to see.  Maybe her regular seats are much more reasonable.

I started that M&G thread because I found the range of what artists charge for their M&G's to be so fascinating.

I was talking to a few fans in the Garbage fan base who are less than thrilled with the value of their somewhat pricey meet and greets.

Bieber had a meet and greet for the same price. (Don't ask why I know this.) But instead of actually meeting his fans, he didn't come and a cardboard standee of him was at the venue lol.
That thread is a great idea
I don't wanna be the one to start it though. You can try it. It's interesting.

Meet and greets are the here and now and not going away any time soon even with the recent shootings artists don't sell albums or Cd's any more and have to make it up somewhere.
