Are you sure the signature is authentic?  It looks very different from mine:

Great A. Einstein collection Ted!!! I was also looking at some other exmaples available on Fraser Autograph website and this one looks different. Also the Drew Max COA makes me doubt this autograph!! See you Ted!!!

It  would be very disappointing to find out the it's fake. I was really excited to get it. I have heard that mistakes are made in authenticating signatures, but the COA was a deciding factor in my purchase. Is Drew Max really that unreliable or questionable? Sure I get it re-authenticated?

Richard, 

It was authenticated by Drew Max? It's rare that we find a genuine autograph with an AAU/Drew max COA.

Where did you buy it? Is the link still active?

IMO a REALLY good fargery. REALLY GOOD! Probably a product of a forger well known to us in southern New Jersey, F.M.

Looking briefly, the crossbar on the "A" is completely atypical, and the "lbert" should be slightly below the "A". I'd take more time to study the letters in the equation and the "Einstein", but I'm swamped. 

I'd place Drew Max in my pantheon of heroes, alongside Chris Morales and the autheticators at STAAT or whatever the hell they call themselves.

BTW Ted, I'm not crazy about that signed photo...

Bill I'm not an expert on this but I don't care for the photo as well.  Have you ever seen this photo signed?  Most of the authentic photographs I've seen signed by him were portraits that were given to associates or friends.

The AAU authentication alone would have chased me away. It decreases the value of authentic autographs.....if by some slim chance it was ever attached to one.

Ted - Barb doesn't make a lot of mistakes, and I'm wrong once in ten million appraisals (!). 

The signature is very sloppy for Einstein, and if it's an 8" x 10" photo, it looks far too large. Also, he preferred black ink by far - tho' that's not a deal-killer.

I bought it from www.potofgoldestate.com here in Arizona. They routinely have this type of item in their auctions. I've never had or heard of any problems with this auction house. Although this is my first signature.
