Check this ebay seller out. He/she is selling signed guitars with facsimile signatures.
Looks like an easy way to pass off forgeries.

People have actually purchased them.
I added photos from his auctions for a Beatles guitar and a Bon Jovi guitar (the Bon Jovi looks horrible btw).
What do you think?

The RPs of SPs. Geesh! Aside from morally or in the you have to be kidding his descriptions of several I see indicate; This is a brand new full size fully functional Fender Squier guitar featuring the facsimile autographs of AC/DC! Although it would be better if it was clearly in the Title, I don't see the listings violating EBAY Policy at this junction but perhaps an inquiry is in order as he is not claiming "original signatures" either..
Hard to believe 3 people duked it out over this ac/dc one;
& the FAB4 one above noted by Michael. Maybe we should catalog all of them as who knows when they will show up again and with what claims just like the RPs.
sometimes it's good to make inquiries to allow EBAY to review their own cited policies. All gone for the moment while they sort it out.
That makes sense to me. It really appears they were just working the ebay system to peddle garbage.
They are back at it again. This is going to be a mess. Once these are sold they will later be sold again as originals.
Especially when you consider people's limited vocabularies these days when it comes to words like facsimile instead of reprint or copy. There's another bidding war going, 12 bids on http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Rolling-Stones-Autographed-Signed-Guita...
although I suppose if they get it cheap enough they got a Fender guitar on the cheap after they wipe the "autographs" off.
What I love are the Ebay "Hand signed" reprints!!! How can you have a reprint hand signed??? Obviously they are within the letter of the law by stating it is a reprint or facsimile but in my opinion the use of "hand signed" should be stopped by Ebay.
especially the ones that are RP's from an "original one", NOT! Many Charlton Hestons have started to fall into that category. The letter of the "law" can sometimes run head on into copyright & trademark infringements when one doesn't have permission to reproduce it and put it on an "instrument".
Somtimes the EBAY Policies are just vague enough to warrant an inquiry; e.g. EBAY Policy; Unauthorized copies may include things that are bootlegged, illegally duplicated, or pirated. These kinds of things may infringe on someone's copyright or trademark...
thus did this seller violate the "intent" of replica or counterfeit items. We can debate it either way but in the final analysis it's up to them to make the call.
From my experience Ebay only changes unless forced kicking and screaming into doing so. Years ago I bought a questionable item and went to contact the seller and Ebay had cancelled his account. I contacted them and a nasty lady there said they could not give out the sellers name. The seller by the way had put MY address as the return address that made me suspicious. I quit Ebay for several years after that and only recently started up again.
