Ebay seller refused to accept a return and then blocked me

i purchased a high dollar item on ebay and when i got the photo, i noticed there was several creases and bends in the photo. i opened a return request with the seller and they declined and closed the return and then blocked me. is there anything i can do to get my money back? i sent the photo back and they received it

the seller did close the claim, i was given no option to escalate the claim. believe me i tried

The problem is you marked the reason for your return as "just didn't like it." That isn't covered under buyer protection.

Based on the notes you wrote in the details, this really was an "item not as described" or "damaged" claim. If you marked it as one of those, you would have had the option to escalate it to ebay. 

You might want to call ebay and ask for the resolution center and tell them you misstated the reason for your return request, and that the details you wrote show that this is really a "not as described" or "damaged" case. They might be able to work with you because you added those details. It's worth calling them.

In the future, never send an item back to a seller without being directed to do so by ebay or paypal. Ebay usually even gives you a prepaid label to send it back, so there's no point in jumping the gun and going through the process out of order. By sending it without approval to do so, you put yourself at risk of being out the item and the money.
