eBay sellers Andros-House and samedi-b Opinions?

Hi,

I bought a few things from these two sellers who are obviously the same as well as a third user name.

All three are listed below.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/samedi-b

http://www.ebay.com/sch/andros-house

http://www.ebay.com/usr/billy.biggs

All seemed to have good feedback and I thought they all seemed fairly legit.

Two items failed PSA quick opinion.

and

I contacted the seller and it's been a couple days but no response. I thought I would ask what people thought.

Thanks!

But from what others have said, it seems like even PSA can't be trusted at times? (although I would never expect anyone to be 100% correct ALL of the time!). So that basically leaves it down to a handful of trustworthy sellers on this site whom you can really trust? It makes things even more difficult for the average Joe like myself to build a decent collection. That seems very sad...

Greg, I would avoid eBay all together to build a collection. I know it's tough, but if you're looking for reputable dealers I know of some I can recommend off thread. I don't sell but the fact is you get what you pay for. No one is going to sell a DeNiro for $20.

Personally, if I was starting out, I would try and get some nice pieces, save up for those and show them off properly. A collection is about quality and not quantity especially if you can't go out in person and try yourself.

And I agree PSA and JSA are all BS. Some of the crap I've seen them do is ridiculous.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I really appreciate all the help I've gotten from here since joining recently.
I honesty thought PSA/JSA was the way to go! From a tip on here I have now joined the Real Autograph Collectors Club on Facebook, which seems to be another group of trustworthy, likeminded individuals as on here. If you could provide me a list of sellers tho, that would be great!
Thanks again!
Mike S,

How about posting your recommendations here for everybody to see?
Greg,

It's OK to buy from eBay. Just get the autograph checked out before you buy it.

Most of the people on this site are not dealers and not here to sell to each other, although they do from time to time. They're mostly collectors here to help other collectors avoid buying or selling forgeries.

There are, sadly, many, many dealers and eBay sellers who make most of their money selling forgeries, even though some sell genuine autographs as well. Sellers like that should be avoided, completely, at all costs. For one reason, you don't know if you'll get the genuine item or a copy of it in the mail.

But there are hundreds of absolutely well-meaning, legitimate autograph dealers who try hard not to sell anything but genuine autographs. Virtually everyone makes mistakes every now and then, and the ones with less expertise tend to make more. But as long as you get the autograph checked out before you buy them, it's OK to do business with them.

Thanks for the words of wisdom, as always, Steve!

Btw, I'm sure we're all still waiting on those recommendations Mike? ;)
