This comes with a COA from '5150 Studios', which apparently is the official supplier of signed Van Halen merchandise. Can anyone confirm if this is authentic? Thanks!

Although the autograph looks like a typical Eddie Van Halen, my in person is dated and as I recall he usually does so. it's the COA that has me concerned as I can't seem to find it on the web. Not sure .

I agree with Micko.  This Eddie Van Halen autograph appears to be pretty typical to me, but I still have concerns about it.  Can you post an image of the COA as well?

Thanks for the replies! Unfortunately I purchased it right before I found out about this site, but I did see another person online selling an EVH from 5150 Studios that showed a portion of the COA with the pic, so I believe that part is genuine. I will post the COA once it arrives in the mail. Also, I have seen a lot of PSA certified signatures where he doesn't put the year, so I think it's kinda 50/50.

I stumbled across this is old post about Eddie Van Halen signed photos, which came out of the 5150 studios.

Unfortunately they were all auto-penned. I believe that thousands were sent out to fans. Many are still over here changing hands amongst rock fans in the UK.

I attach mine as an example. It is exactly the same and I have not seen a variation in the auto-pen that was used.

Thanks Owen! I appreciate the reply!

No problem Greg. Sorry it's bad news.
