A nice and clean photo (albeit cropped badly). Do you folks like the sig?

Think this has a good chance....

Was this photo trimmed prolly for framing...

With these margins it might be a PC print and not a true photograph. I'd not pay full $ for either a PC print or a trimmed true photograph.

And yes the way his heads gonna be cut off a bit in a frame as well just a bit to think about in a final value and investment....

I don't know anything about the trimming, but it will make for difficult framing as its cut too close (top and botoom). Maybe some blemishes were removed to clean it up.

But it's being sold cheap, so that has influence haha

In the images the signature is rather focused, the image a bit blurry - second generation copy photo or "print" seems likely, especially with this trimming. Goodcat's observations about framing are valid. I would not buy or sell this at any price, but that is me.

You have good judgement, I can say that. Yes it looks like a copy and a little grainy. But dang it's got great composition and eye candy appeal IMO. I'm not a huge EJ fan but this one has caught my eye. I can make up an artistic frame to suit this and keep his head and feet the way they show.

Now... I need to have the sig confirmed as Fake or Legit before I proceed any further.

This would be worse IMO than the signed Syd book with age tone showing a removed once-present book cover had been removed. Someone seems to have taken a blade to this Elton. The composition is actually suffering severely here. No photographer would compose this way. It yells "I have been trimmed/altered" loudly. That with poor image quality...what is the upside? Low price doesn't flip my switch.

Hmmm... I see what you're saying but for some reason this shot attracts me and I can forgive it's flaws.

That Syd book is much harder to forgive... that's just outright destruction of an art piece.

Hopefully Richard Booth see's this and can voice his valued opinion.

It's a great photo though agreed!

To me, all I see is an unlicensed cheap copy photo, possibly over-enlarged, grainy/out of focus, that has been trimmed to the point of not being framable. The original intentions of the photographer went in the garbage with the margins, assuming it was not cropped from the original in the first place. I don't see any inherent value at all apart from the signature. Remove the signature and you have nothing IMO.

I like it and that's all that matters. The sig is Legit and it's an attractive photo to me.

Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz

hahaha
