Ok this is a very beautiful and rare photo from his bahamas holidays in 1969.

As far as I know only few photos are availble from that trip.

It has been discussed here on this Elvis forum also : http://www.elvis-collectors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=63846

A rare photo and as a bonus signed on the back, if real = a great piece of Elvis history.

But the question is if its real, is it? Printed?

I think the signature looks good.  As for being printed, I doubt it would be personalized if it were printed.

Is it worth paying 2500$  for this?

It is quite unique.

it is a nice item, but the pricing is set by the consumer.  If you are just looking for an elvis autograph, you could do better on price. if this were signed on the front, perhaps, but back signed photos do not normally command this kind of dollars. but again, it is unusual and therefore someone with the inclination to own a piece like this could be willing to come up with that kind of money. why don't you have roger epperson provide an opinion for you?  I am not sure what he charges for a quick opinion but its very inexpensive.  I think its good, but he is much more educated in Elvis signatures, including the forgeries that are out there.

Here the sellers story about the autograph:

A friend of mine who I worked with during the 70's, her sister went working at a hotel ("The Paradise Hotel" in the Bahamas. Elvis stayed there for a couple of nights in 1969. During the evening they used to go down to the beach and have bar b q's and lark about. She managed to join them one evening. (Its the girl with Elvis in the photograph) When she returned home to UK she was showing me the pictures. She knew I was a big Elvis fan. She kindly let me buy the photograph from her in 1971. There were a few more but none of them were autographed. It is a beautiful picture of Elvis but only small polaroyd size

I'm very glad for you Eddie that Roger said it was good. What a relief. I agree with Terrier, I wish it was signed on the front. Makes it challenging to display.

I don't think it's real.

I see it sold for £622.

And see another one like it below on the back of a Polaroid. Not likely. And the signature isn't aged like the rest of the photo. I feel really sorry for the person who got stuck with it.

Steve, good work.  Does it look like it was signed with a sharpie???  Eddie, I hope you didn't buy it. something like this needs an expert like Roger's opinion.  But if there are others purported to be "rare" like this, it makes it more questionable.

No I did not but I had great plans to do that :(

Sorry, Eddie. Elvis isn't that rare. My suggestion is to buy an Elvis from a respected dealer or auction with a lifetime guarantee. The piece you were looking at sold for about what a genuine one would bring at auction anyway.

Personally I really hope its real otherwise I will be disapointed & heartbroken.
