It's hard to see in a photo like that, but from what I can see, it's not one I'd want.
Thanks Steve, the seller claims it's "the real deal" signed in London in 2011. If you say it ain't real, I won't buy it.
I'm saying it doesn't look enough like what I'd expect to see as a genuine Clapton for me to want. I'm not saying he's not telling the truth. I don't know.
Ok
The seller is a member of AFTAL. Supposedly signed in London in 2011.
AFTAL has many great, reputable dealers...but also some that I would be wary of anything they offered. A good rule of thumb is that you shouldn't buy an autograph that experienced experts and collectors don't a fairly easy time authenticating.
Yes, Steve but how can I know? I seller in England advised me to go through AFTAL, claims there's not as much forgeries in the UK as in the USA.
There aren't as many forgeries in the UK as in the USA because we have 5-times the population of the UK. Otherwise, it's at least as bad as here.
Buy autographs where the authenticity stands on its own. And whenever possible, buy from known reputable dealers and auctions. Ones that experienced collectors and dealers have confidence in.
I will Steve and thank you!
Hello Devon and thanks for commenting. I would say that it's possible it's genuine and that Slowhand's signature was rushed maybe!
