ok. i don't live in hollywood any longer, so the odds of me getting MORE autographs on some of my favorite movie posters are slim. so now that i have the room. i want to get some of these posters, which i feel are AWESOME, framed. i have star wars posters, a completed x men 1 poster (well all the main cast and bryan singer).. lord of the rings posters etc...

so now, what should i do to get them framed, and framed nicely. where they won't be damaged over time. i have a mighty joe young poster and mod squad movie poster already foam mounted, but i don't really like the way they look AND i was told that they will eventually start to spread apart from the foam mounting over time (i worked on both of these movies, so the snide comments don't need to be made... many of the cast members wrote things like "hey mike, nice working with you on Mighty Joe Young- bill paxton" for example. i could slap these two into a frame and let that go... but my multi signed posters that i would like to frame nicely, i don't quite know what to do.

i've been told linen backing is the best for this.. is this true? i've seen people linen back OLD original movie posters. but the process of doing this. i am unsure of. will the fact that these have been signed, would the process damage the autographs themselves? some autographs are in silver marker too. and i don't know all the ways of the process...

any ideas? i really have NONE!

Contact Rick Badwey of Museum Framing. Either the ad on the right or look up his profile. He'll tell you what you need to know and his prices are way less than the typical preservation framing shop.
