Please tell us about this collection.

Slipknot:  I got this guitar from a guy who used to set up their stage.  The guitar is a custom made LesPaul that was owned by one of the band members (he could not remember who).  After many years of working with the band they all signed the guitar and gave it to the guy.

Hellyeah:  This guitar was just recently purchased from a collector in Texas.  What makes this guitar awesome is it’s a Dean Dimebag Razorback signed by Dimebag’s brother Vinnie Paul and his band.

Alice In Chains:  This guitar was acquired from a guitarist who plays clubs in Kansas City, MO.  This was his main gigging guitar.  He was in a bar one night and happened to run into Alice In Chains.  The only thing he had on him was this guitar and he asked the band to sign it.  He never played the guitar after that it hung on his wall untouched for 24 years.  It was dirty as heck when I got it but it cleaned up great.  This one is special because it has Layne Staley’s signature.

Godsmack:  I purchased this from a friend of Tony Rombola the lead guitarist of Godsmack. Tony gave him 2 signed guitars from the band back in 1999 when they were about to play their first big venue Ozzfest.  I have a video of Tony Rombola holding this guitar while his friend is asking him some questions about finally making it big.

ACDC:  This was purchased from the estate of former Atlantic Records executive Michael Klenfner.  He was the guy who signed ACDC to their first USA record label, Atlantic Records.  This guitar was a gift from the band.  When Klenfner passed away in 2009 his widow auctioned off his vast collection of music memorabilia including this guitar.

Slash:  the two guitars signed individually by Slash with his skull art were both donated by Slash to support a suicide survivors foundation. The electric guitar signed by him was actually played by him after he signed it.  I have a video of Slash playing this guitar and joking around with the people from the foundation.

Motley Crue:  the two Motley Crue guitars were purchased from private collectors.  The neat thing about them is the white one is a Schecter Tommy Lee signature model from when he had his own band.  These guitars are quite hard to come by so when I found one signed by the entire band I couldn’t pass it up.  The black bass guitar is a Gibson Nikki Sixx signature bass.  It’s the only bass in my collection.

Cinderella:  This guitar was signed at a meet and greet.  Each member signed and also wrote their favorite Cinderella song they like to play live.  Jeff Labar also signed the back of this guitar with a huge signature, he was not satisfied with the small space his band members had left him to sign.

3 Doors Down:  This guitar was owned by Johnny Damon, the KC Royals, NY Yankees and Boston Redsoxoutfielder.  He auctioned off some of his guitars to benefit charities and I was able to get this from him.

GNR:  This was my very first guitar purchased. I wanted something to hang in my office at work as a conversation piece.  It has all five original members from Appetite For Destruction. Slash even drew his skull art.

Aerosmith:  the neat thing about this guitar is it looks like Joe Perry’s 1959 Gibson. It’s signed by the entire band.

Shinedown:  this is a Zach Myers PRS signature model. Myers is lead guitarist for Shinedown.

Metallica:  bought this from Autograph Pros. It was pricey but it has all 4 members signed on a Kirk Hammet signature model guitar.  Lars even wrote Metallica.  This was signed in 2003 the year Robert Trujillo joined the band.

Coldplay:  this is a Gibson robot guitar signed by the entire band.  This was signed after their performance for MusiCares person of the year tribute to Neil Diamond. Coldplay posted it on their web sight saying they were going to auction this guitar off to support MisiCares and the Grammy foundation.

Drowning Pool:  this is signed by all original members of the band.  Singer Dave Williams died the same year this was signed, 2002.

Poison:  this was purchased from a collector.  Believe it or not Poison full band signed guitars are among the most difficult for me to find.

Avenged Sevenfold:  the two Avenged Sevenfold guitars are both Schecter signature models from both of their guitarists. One is signed by the entire band on their Hail to the King tour.  Since their Drummer Jimmy the Rev Sullivan passed away in 2009 I decided to make this into a dedication piece in his memory.  The othe silver striped guitar is signed by Synyster Gates and M. Shadows.

Five Finger Death Punch:  I came across this when I was looking to add a BC Rich Draco guitar to my collection. These guitars are somewhat rare and while looking I came across this piece signed by the band.  Even better it came with original coffin case and I picked it up for the same price as an unsigned one, go figure.

Bullet for my Valentine:  this is the newest addition.  It’s a real stunning piece in person.  Sounds great too.

Thats about it.  I wish I could say I got all of these in person but I can’t.  Most were purchased from fellow collectors.  I started this collection in 2012 and it has grown into what you see here.  I have all of these guitars on display in my private office at work or in my home.  They are all hanging on the wall.  You should see the looks on people’s faces when they come into my office for the first time, it’s quite a sight.  I keep them tuned and take them down to play every once in a while but I am very careful not to damage the sigs. When I pick what guitars to get I try to find ones that are a similar model to the guitar the bands guitarist plays whenever possible, it just has more significance to me.

Beautiful collection!  Really wonderful and very high quality.
