Don't know what to think of this one. Might be good, but something makes me hesitate. Any thoughts?

Looks good to me, and that is a 1949 photo of Swanson as Norma Desmond. Here i one I used to have:

Can you show the whole thing? It is usually signed on the border - this is what size? Mine was 5x7 and matte - yours looks glossy?

The signature above  is somewhat later, and there is moderate adhesion and /or flaking to the fountain pen. Wonder why such a tight crop, and apparently signed after? It doesn't look like a copy photo but never saw one glossy or not 5x7 with margins as shown.

This is at HD for $280/Make an Offer...

Thanks for your help, Eric!

Yes, it's an 8x10.

That measure 8x10 now, exactly? It sure looks like it has been trimmed. And the signature being so close to the edge also suggests this. eBay?  There are few nice ones, I linked one below.

Here is mine:

You're right, it actually measures 7,5x9 inches. Sorry.

I figured. With the trimming, the poor ink adhesion/skipping and the creasing this should be well discounted. The only upside is that it is a Norma Desmond image, and not signed in more recent felt tip as those I linked.

It was well discounted indeed. The price was ine of the points that made me ask for advice.

Do you have an idea about the Bergman I posted?

So under $100 I guess?

Yep. 60.

Good deal!!! :-)

I went back as far as I could with the Bergman. I don't know her, but it doesn't really look like anything I saw. Trails and slants different, some forms. Perhaps someone with more familiarity can help you there. Do you have many early exemplars?
