I bought a lot of stuff on ebay years ago from GS/Caleb and he was on the level.

I believe they are still in business on ebay as surfinsafari505 (they moved to New Mexico). I still make an occassional purchase from them.

ok thanks, will look at that site for more info. but still is my question what's a coa worth when a seller stops and you can't look up your coa?

You can't look up most sellers' COAs, as far as I know.  Not to be confused with Third Party Authenticators' certs or stickers, which are usually searchable, at least for the major companies.

COAs by themselves generally don't mean much. They represent the seller's opinion, and maybe a money-back guarantee if they offer one.  But lots of COAs exist for forgeries.

caleb did not give a opinion but that it's signed in person so like to think he did get his autographs in person at that time.
