I recently purchased an autograph off Ebay from Gridiron Authentics before I knew about all the discussions about their questionable signings. I gave this item to JSA and they obviously rejected it and gave me the letter and took my $20.
I contacted GA about trying to return the item. And they gave me a bunch of BS about how JSA and PSA/DNA only look at their hologram and not the signature etc etc. Long story short is that they would refund everything cost, shipping, and return shipping but NOT the fee from JSA.
My question is regarding eBay's Guarantee Policy. It states that any "counterfeit" item should not be returned to the seller and that eBay would refund me the money. Should I escalate this to eBay and will they refund me the money even though GA agreed to a refund?
I do not want to send this ball back. I know that GA will just relist it and screw another poor sucker over. I'd ideally like to get my money back and keep the ball. I could wash the fake signature off and I'd have a regulation ball that has a market value of $20 so no big harm done.
Thanks for the help
