I've seen some magnificent autographed images of A-List Golden Hollywood stars. Sadly, the photos were displayed in direct sunlight for years or neon lights until the inscription and signature are barely legible. 

Such negligence can only be chalked up to a lack of knowledge, amateur framing, and poorly cared for. 

Are such signed-photos worth buying---providing they are authentic?
