Hello

This is the content of a family friends autograph book from 1944.  His older brother who was in the service picked up a number of autographs for him while stationed in California.  I have been able to identify many of them, but have issues with a few.  Any help is appreciated.  Also, any concerns with the autographs.  I believe them all to be the real deal. Thank you for the help.

First postcard , I cannot identify the top 4 names.  The bottom 4 are Paul Kelly, Wally Berry, Sheldon Leonard, and Melody Thomson.

Next up is a page from the book with an unidentified name??

Third, are two signatures together-Bill Bendix and C. King.  Who is C. King??

I included a couple of more autographs that I have already identified--

Buster Keaton

Angela Lansbury

Next is Harry James

Janis Paige

There are several more less well known 1940's actors, authors, etc..

Frank Morgan......William Bendix

Olivia de Havilland

Frank Morgan from Wizard of Oz

Jinx Falkenberg

The third signature is the incomparable Ish Kabibble, from Kay Kyser’s band.

Wow, Thank you for the help..  Anyone have an idea who C. King was?

Also Any concerns with any of the autographs?

I am still amazed at the variety of signers..Any Idea who C. King was and this autograph?

How do these autographs look?  Any concerns?

Thank you

They all look authentic. Are they pasted in the book? The Buster Keaton would bring a good amount of money but you would need to remove it very carefully. Most collectors don’t want the autograph pasted in the book.

Thank you for the help.  No.  Most were glued, but over the years the adhesive has dried, so they are loose..

That’s a relief! The money is with the Keaton and there is a great demand for authentic Keaton signatures. The other autographs will only bring a small fraction of what the Keaton will bring. I personally would send it to PSA or Beckett and have it encapsulated or have a professional frame it with a nice 8x10, cropping out the Lansbury. You are looking at $1500-$2000 value.
