Help me make sense of this Becketts message please

Submitted a football jersey for their quick review and got this message back. 

Review: Unlikely to Pass Full Authentication
Reviewer Notes: It has been traced. Likely was ok. But someone traced over signature to darken it. Looks like Fanatics style

When the reviewer writes “likely was okay” is he implying it’s a legit autograph underneath and is “Fanatics style” an implication that they’re known for tracing autographs to make them bolder?

I'm assuming it's something that originated with Fanatics.  

As for the rest, yes, it seems that they are saying that it was/is authentically signed but someone traced over the signature to make it darker.  Such an alteration likely renders it worthless or certainly worth less (much less).

If they could see the tracing in your photo then you could presumably see it in hand?

Maybe it was displayed in sunlight or flourescent light and faded, and then someone tried to "fix" it.

Just a guess on my part but I circled some areas where there seems to be a faded pen stroke alongside the darker ones.
