To Slab ot not to Slab, that is the question.
I HATE those little strips that are all crooked in the slab! Ugly. The slabs themselves if framed correctly can look good with a picture. I still wouldn't cut it just so PSA can put it in a glass tomb.
I may be weird, but for me the joy of collecting is being able to touch the surface (clean hands) and smell the age of the paper. Placing them in a slab does nothing for me.
Agree 100% At least it doesn't ruin the signature like laminate or lacquer. I suppose you could always crack it open. I like the idea of being in front of the object the person I admire signed.
At least there authentic. Im sure there's collectors who own draws of these signatures with plastic cases.
Robin, i cant say I've smelt my autographs but you know if a lp has been in a smokers house because the smoke smell is on the album.
I remember reading someone who owns Hendrix persian rug and they say you can smell hash on it.
I Like something a little more tangible as well, Robin.

This one has been to the paper restorer!

I just aquired a Hendrix piece. It happens to be the only piece that I own that has been slabbed. Was thinking about taking it out, leaving it in for now. Here it is.

I find it amusing that there are so many on ebay, being hendrix he is a rare signature.
I know,Jim Morrison is so much rarer.I couldn't imagine seeing 7-8 Morrisons up on eBay.
