Here is scan of Herman Melville note dated Feb1, 1869. BrownishGoldish fountain pen on parchment. Sent 2 PSA/DNA and they said it may or may not be real and they refunded my money in full. Global said they wanted me 2 send it in cuz digital scan wasnt clear.

Good heavens, that looks horrendous. 

Did you adjust the color of the scan before uploading?  If not, that ink just isn't natural.  Notwithstanding the fact that the ink is feathered (the result of adding new ink to old or cheap paper), and that the writing looks labored and artificial, I've never seen ink halo to a purplish blue like that on any 19th century documents I've examined.  Purple ink did exist, and was used during this period, but it didn't look like that.  Makes me think that the creator of this document didn't know how to source or mix the proper iron gall ink or how to properly size old paper before adding new ink.

Scan is as good as i can do. why do alleged forgers write a note when a sig is all that ppl buy and paper looks old but ur opinion makes sense thnx
